The Creative hub in Namur has big plans. In a month the hub will move to a new building, which is ten times bigger than the existing one. Moreover, the whole city of Namur has such high ambitions. The town situated just 40 minutes from Brussels, aims to show how life can be concentrated not only in capitals.
Namur has benefited from the European Structural Funds for a period from 2014 to 2020. The priorities of this program are focused on innovation, low carbon emissions, as well as on economy and urban revitalization. The city is currently seeing the results of the development of nine major projects for a total amount of more than 29 million euros. The smart city concept became a real model of sustainable urban development.
One of the things that make Namur an innovative city is the creative hub TRAKK which supports companies into developing and making their ideas reality. It is a space dedicated to cultural and creative industries, as well as to the digital sector. Through the TRAKK, one can meet companies, project leaders, or even citizens all thriving to make their ideas grow.
Since 2014 TRAKK has been based in a small house in Namur. Now it is time to change everything. The new TRAKK building will have 3000 m2 of space. Meeting rooms, office spaces, co-working, chill out areas and more - it will help young companies to realize their ideas, for example, in 3D-printing. The equipment for this production and other machines will be in this building. Organizers are planning to hold conferences and workshops here. Individual and group coaching are also available, for every step of personal and professional project development.
