European Week of Regions and Cities

Local intermediate authorities as driving forces of European democracy

As local cornerstones and embodiments of European cohesion, local intermediate authorities implement proximity actions which are visible to their constituents and help them feel that they are part of the EU. Managing Europe Direct Centres participate in tailor-made, EU-funded projects addressing the needs of the local population and organise conferences with civil society to exchange good local practices.
