Cross-border Energy Communities: Building Energy Cooperation across Borders

The Cross-border Energy Communities project encourages the setup and development of (quasi-)cross-border energy communities in EU border regions.Based on the EU Handbook on Cross-border, funded by DG REGIO and coordinated by AEBR, MOT and REScoop.eu the project will support 7 pilots with €15000 funding and tailored technical assistance, including workshops, stakeholder mapping, and expert coaching.The communities will bring together citizens, SMEs, and local authorities across borders to foster cooperation on energy-related activities, promoting responsible ways to produce and consume energy, enhancing local energy transition (through car-sharing, photovoltaic projets, biomass initiative...)
