A Bridge for the EU - a new tool to better integrate border regions

This session will present the new Border Regions' Instrument for Development and Growth in the EU – BRIDGEforEU, explaining how cross-border regions can benefit from and implement this new facility. The Regulation provides a legal tool to tackle barriers across EU border regions through the establishment of cross-border coordination points, a public register of border obstacles, and the possibility for Member States and regions to use a cross-border facilitation tool. The session will include contributions by Commission officials, MEP Sandro Gozi and representatives of the national and regional levels.
