- Simone is an economist at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. Before joining the EC, he worked as an economist at the Inter-American Development Bank and the International Labour Organisation. He has 15+ years of experience on Science, Technology and Innovation and regional economic development. He holds a PhD in Economics from the United Nations University, an MSc in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Business Economics from Turin University.
