- Themis Christophidou is the Director-General for Regional and Urban Policy at the European Commission, a position she has held since September 2023. Prior to her current role, she served as the Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture at the European Commission from 2018 to 2023. During her time at the Commission, she held various roles, including as Head of Cabinet for multiple Commissioners and in policy positions related to maritime affairs, fisheries, and humanitarian aid.
