Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla

  • Juanma Moreno is a Spanish politician with extensive experience in local, regional, national, and European governance. He served as President of the Youth branch of the Partido Popular (PP) in Málaga in 1993 and in Andalusia in 1995, before becoming the national President of the branch from 1997 to 2001. Since then, he has held roles at the local, regional, national and European levels. From 1995 to 1997, Juanma Moreno served as a Councillor on the Malaga City Council. He was a Deputy in the Spanish Congress from 2000 to 2011 and held the position of Secretary of State for Social Services and Equality from 2012 to 2014. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Andalusian Parliament and, since 2018, has served as the President of the Junta de Andalucía, leading the region’s government. He has also been President of the Andalusian People's Party since 2014. In 2019, Juanma Moreno became a member of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), and in 2021 he was appointed Vice-President. In 2022, he assumed the role of Vice-President of the EPP-CoR Group. During this time, he served as rapporteur on key opinions and participated in the CoR's delegations for COP28 and COP29. Since February 2025 he is the First Vice-President of the CoR.
