From Case-by-Case to Scalable Solutions:Typology Approaches in Historical Building Renovation

The European Commission aims to renovate 35 million buildings by 2030, paving the way toward climate neutrality by 2050. Guided by the New European Bauhaus values, the Horizon2020 funded projects HeriTACE and FuturHist, explore sustainable solutions for historic building renovation, balancing energy efficiency with heritage preservation. This webinar aims at presenting their typology-based approach to renovation, addressing the challenges in historic urban contexts and highlighting the cruciality of replicable solutions. With insights from heritage experts and municipalities, we will discuss how to future-proof Europe’s built heritage while contributing to the green transition.
