Global warming and energy scarcity are a common challenge that transcends borders. This must be addressed in an interdisciplinary and cross-border approach, involving the relevant stakeholders from local, regional, national politics, but also from science, industry and civil society. This is the objective of the Climate and Energy Strategy adopted by the tri-national metropolitan region of the Upper Rhine, a pioneering region in the effort against global warming and for clean energies The round table will bring together representatives from politics, science and the economy and will present the opportunities and challenges of shared coordination as well as innovative cross-border projects.
