Mario Draghi’s report, The Future of European Competitiveness, highlights a paradox: despite having one of the world’s best-skilled workforces and major investments in education, the EU struggles in global competitiveness. FGB’s Knowledge Apéro will go beyond the usual skill-mismatch explanations to explore deeper issues, stressing diagnosis before prescription. Speakers from four Horizon Europe projects - MOBI-TWIN, RE-PLACE, PREMIUM_EU, and SkillsPULSE - will present innovative approaches to mapping mobility, measuring quality of life, modelling policy impacts, and aligning skills with emerging needs, offering new ways to strengthen the Union for Skills.
