- Elena Nevado del Campo is a Member of the European Parliament from the EPP Group, currently serving on six parliamentary committees (REGI, SANT, DCAM, TRAN, FEMM, PETI). She has had a long-standing career in both law and politics. A practising lawyer since 1992, she is currently a partner at the law firm Cáceres Jurídico SAP and Vice-Dean of the Bar Association of Cáceres.
After joining the Partido Popular, she devoted much of her political career to her hometown of Cáceres, where she served as Mayor from 2011 to 2019. During this period, she was also appointed Senator in the 10th legislature and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Finance and Local Funding of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
She was a regional MP representing Cáceres in the Assembly of Extremadura until 2023, served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Partido Popular of Extremadura (2022), and held the position of First Secretary of the Bureau of the Assembly of Extremadura from July 2023 to July 2024.
