European cities face growing challenges in building urban resilience and adapting to climate change, particularly in marginalised and vulnerable districts, where climate-related risks – such as heat, flooding and air pollution – affect communities even more severely. Both URBACT and DUT are working with cities to build knowledge and capacities for urban resilience and share good practices. This session will bring together these insights, fostering interactive exchanges with selected city case studies and encouraging peer learning. Specifically, it will also delve into the role of R&I in this field and address key open questions, setting the stage for further exploration in DUT and URBACT.
