  • Sarah Tak holds degrees in nursing and law, and is the director of Klimaatzaak, a landmark climate justice non-profit backed by nearly 71,000 citizens. As a powerful grassroots movement and one of the most consequential climate lawsuits in the world, Klimaatzaak is helping to redefine the role of the courts in the climate crisis. Sarah is a board member of the Flemish environmental coalition Bond Beter Leefmilieu and the Belgian Climate Coalition, and a producer of Duty of Care, Nic Balthazar’s acclaimed documentary on climate litigation. Her earlier roles include serving as an advisor on foreign and European affairs at the European Commission, the European and Flemish Parliaments, and in multiple ministerial cabinets. Her career reflects a long-standing commitment to public service, environmental responsibility, and systemic change.
