- Assistant Professor at the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences at the University of Aveiro and researcher at GOVCOPP. Holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Aveiro and a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Design from the University of Porto. He was the Director of the Master's in Urban and Regional Planning (2016–2020). He founded the Planning and Public Policy Lab, recently awarded the UA2023 Cooperation distinction. He has been involved in several national and international research projects on place-based participatory planning, including the European projects Participation4all, Urban Imprint, and DUT Conifer. He has also been actively promoting civic initiatives in support of cities and citizenship.
