
Urban planning plays a critical role in improving health by shaping the built environment for healthier lifestyles. However, integrating health into planning remains challenging. We will shed light on the economic implications of taking a health-centred approach to urban planning and demonstrate a practical tool – developed through an EIT Urban Mobility innovation project in collaboration with the University of Lisbon – for assessing the cost-effectiveness of urban planning changes for health.
