Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland have witnessed rapid economic and social convergence since their EU accession. Currently, Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine derails Europe’s progress and the impact is felt in the entire EU. However, the effects of the war have knocked much louder on the doors of businesses, households and people in the countries neighbouring aggressors. Political leaders responsible for Cohesion Policy from Member States on the Eastern EU border with russia and belarus together with European Commission will discuss their views on how the emerging challenges and constantly changing environment could be curbed, what does it take for people and businesses being a neighbour of hostile regime, how to maintain economic growth and resilience and sustain Region’s contribution to European prosperity.
