Opening Session of the #EURegionsWeek 2024

Under the motto "Empowering Communities", the Opening Session will be the main political debate of the 22nd edition of the #EURegionsWeek. It will highlight the challenges faced by regions and cities throughout Europe, with the presentation of the 5th edition of the EU Annual Report on the State of Regions and Cities. It will also include a discussion with high-level speakers on the important role played by cohesion policy for Europe's future and the involvement of regions and cities in the enlargement process. Connecting with other parts of Europe through the "EURegionsWeek close to you" sessions, the Opening Session will bring together in a dynamic format key actors to debate Europe's future from the perspective of its regions and cities.
