European Week of Regions and Cities

Small Cities, Big Impact: Leading the way towards sustainable urban mobility

Sustainable urban mobility is crucial for future-proof, climate-neutral and resilient cities, balancing economic and social equity with sustainable growth. Local leaders face challenges reconciling individual mobility needs with societal imperatives (air pollution and congestion). Small and medium-sized cities lead in co-creating solutions with the private sector that are aligned with policy. We will discuss their achievements, shared challenges, and facilitate knowledge exchanges among peers.
