In a world where ever more data is being produced, actually making use of it all is a challenge. For the last three years, the EU’s Publications Office has organised an annual Datathon – a competition to develop apps that offer new services or insights using data produced by the European institutions. This year, 12 finalists were selected from 99 entries across Europe. The manager of the third-placed team presented Mind Your Foot, an app for using data to combat climate change, at this year’s EU Regions Week.
