EU cities and regions: Attractiveness through talent competition and civic engagement

In the global talent competition, EU cities and regions enjoy a certain magnetism. However, in European capitals like Brussels, the challenge remains how to attract highly skilled professionals who can add value and align with local communities. In EU rural areas, we often face problems of emigration. Balancing social, ecological and economic objectives through Intelligent Territories (former SmartCities) and "SmartCommunities" could make a difference for urban and rural areas.
