European Youth Capitals: Youth participation for a stronger democracy

The title of 'European Youth Capital' boosts democratic participation by empowering young people in their local communities. In a year with three elections, Ghent, the 2024 European Youth Capital, has placed democratic participation at the core of its work. The DYPALL Network will provide examples of how youth participation contributes to more effective democratic processes. Tanya Hristova, Chair of the SEDEC, will then follow up on the outcomes of the Charter of Youth and Democracy.
