  • Elsi Katainen is a Member of the European Parliament from Finland representing the Centre Party. She serves as the Renew Europe coordinator in the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and is also a member of the Committee on Regional Development. Katainen has been an MEP since 2018, following over a decade in the Finnish Parliament (2007–2018). Her political focus lies in agriculture, rural affairs, and regional development. She is a strong advocate for food security, fair income for farmers, and equitable regional development.
