Cities and regions shaping global climate action ahead of COP30

In the lead-up to COP30, and during the Pre-COP, cities and regions are coming together to present their joint priorities and demands. At a time when some national governments are backtracking on climate commitments and multilateralism faces increasing pressure, subnational governments continue to demonstrate that climate action is advancing on the ground. This session will bring together representatives from the European Union, global institutions, and networks within the Local Governments and Municipal Authorities Constituency (LGMA) to exchange ideas on enhancing local and regional authorities' contributions to achieving an ambitious COP30 outcome.
