- Sonia Matera is a Secure Societies Consultant at Deep Blue since April 2023, where she coordinates the Empower-Citizens project. Prior to her current position, she served as Climate Change Officer at the Italian Red Cross. She has professional experience as a disaster management and resilience consultant for international and governmental organisations. She holds a B.A. in Global Governance from University of Rome Tor Vergata and a M.Sc. in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation from Lund University.
