  • Kata Tüttő is a Hungarian politician, economist and public servant with over two decades of experience in local government, European policy-making, and urban sustainability. As of February 2025, and until the summer of 2027, she serves as president of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR). Ms Tüttő's leadership at the CoR is focusing on strengthening the role of cities and regions in shaping the EU’s future as well as its social, economic, and territorial cohesion. At the same time, she remains a member of the Budapest City Council. The CoR plenary assembly elects its President and First Vice-President every two-and-a-half years. The President represents the Committee and directs its work. If the President is absent or unable to attend, the First Vice-President or another Vice-President assumes this role.
