Davide STRANGIS

  • The General Secretariat managed by the acting Secretary General, Davide Strangis, is responsible for the day to day administrative, financial and legal running of the association under the supervision of the Political Bureau. Davide has almost 20 years of experience in EU and Mediterranean governance and cooperation. He has held key positions in associations of local and regional governments, NGOs, and in managing policies, studies and projects of strategic interest to their members. Specialized in European integration, multilevel governance, territorial and development cooperation, climate action, and the sustainable blue economy, Davide is an Italian national passionate about languages and cultures. He is also an author and a guest lecturer at universities, seminars, and conferences. Since 2013, Davide has served the CPMR in various roles, including Executive Secretary of its Intermediterranean Commission, coordinator of the Migration Task Force, and Executive Director for EU programmes, partnerships, and geographical commissions. In August 2022, he was appointed CPMR Deputy Secretary General, also leading its policy department. As of 19 December 2024, Davide serves as Acting Secretary General of the CPMR.
